December Degusta Box Review

I decided to give this box a try as a Black Friday deal. I think I paid $7 for it. It normally cost $19.99/month. The box consists of 10-15 full-size food products each month. These are usually new-release or new packaging products that haven’t hit the grocery store yet. You can fill out surveys about the products to earn points towards a free box. I was pleasantly surprised to see how much stuff was included in this box when I opened it.

Here’s a look at everything from the box. 13 products – I couldn’t believe how much stuff was in there.

One of the first things I used was the Pillsbury Cake Mix and Icing Mix. My oldest has a tree nut allergy, so I keep individually frozen cupcakes to take to birthday parties and to keep at his school when a classmate brings in cupcakes. I was out of the last batch I made, so this worked out perfectly because this mix is safe for him to have.

I was excited to see tea in the box because I’m a big tea drinker. I think this was more of an extra because it was a sample box with 8 different flavors. I’ve never tried this brand of tea before, but I enjoyed it.

They also included these honey sticks, which went perfectly with the tea. I might have to buy these again. Each stick was the perfect amount to squeeze into a cup of tea.

The Kala roasted fava beans were probably my favorite new discovery in the box. I had never tried these before. They were really crunchy and addictive. I’ll definitely have to buy these again.

This Miso and Shaved Mushroom microwave meal was one thing that I didn’t like. The flavor just wasn’t great and the pasta in it didn’t get cooked all the way and was a bit crunchy.

Butter Popcorn, enjoyed it!

Ricola Herbal Immunity Lozenges – This isn’t something I would normally buy, but I’ve give them a try next time I feel a cold coming on.

Loacker Coconut Wafers. These were yummy, but I am a big chocolate coconut fan so these were perfect for me.

Loacker Noir Orange- These were good as well, but I definitely prefer the coconut flavor.

Smuckers Fruit and Honey Grape Jelly – This will definitely get used at our house with all the PB&J sandwiches. I haven’t opened it yet, but I’m interested to see if I can tell a difference with the honey.

Good Thins Sweet Oat & Flax crackers- These crackers are actually sweet, I wasn’t expecting that for some reason. They were good though. I served them with sharp white cheddar and onion relish and they were great.

Chips Ahoy Cinnamon Sugar Thins – I haven’t opened these yet because we have had a ton of cookies around the house this month, but it sounds like a good flavor combination.

I have really enjoyed this box. It has been fun to try new foods and foods that I might not have bought otherwise for a lower cost. I had originally planned only to get this box since it was such a great deal and then cancel. I think I’m going to get the next month too and see how it goes. You can cancel this one at any time. It is normally $19.99/month which is much lower than the cost of the food. If anyone is interesting in trying a box, you can try the first box for $9.99 using this link or entering this discount code – JENNIFERF-1FF4.
